Pelham Planning & Development

By-law Enforcement

By-law Enforcement receives complaints from the general public and directs them to the appropriate agency having jurisdiction or processes them in accordance with the Town's Complaint Policy as applicable. Complaints which are deemed to be By-law matters are investigated and resolved through the Complaint Policy in accordance with the nature ofthe contravention and requirements of the relevant by-law.

The more common by-law matters include: barking dogs, businesses in residential areas, signs, dumping garbage, fences, derelict vehicles, weeds and noise.

Parking Enforcement

The Town of Pelham, in association with Wainfleet and West Lincoln, has been conducting a pro-active approach to parking enforcement to address parking issues, in addition to Council’s reactive complaints policy and procedure for parking and other by-law matters. A municipal law enforcement officer is actively on duty within the Town, which may include Saturdays and Sundays.

The Town of Pelham Parking By-law No. 89-2000, Region of Niagara Parking By-law No. 89-2000, Town Fire Route and Handicapped Parking By-laws and the Highway Traffic Act have all been enacted to regulate parking and other traffic issues.

Pelham Town Hall is located at:
20 Pelham Town Square
Fonthill, ON L0S 1E0
