Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (MYAC)
MYAC's Mission
To provide a communication link between the youth of Pelham and the Pelham Town Council is our mission. The needs of the youth may be addressed and action can be taken to enrich the quality of life, health and well-being of youth in our community.
MYAC's Objectives:
- To identify and bring forward issues which will have an impact on Pelham youth.
- To keep Town Council informed of important matters affecting youth.
- To act as a positive advocate for youth.
- To promote positive meaningful activities for youth in partnership with the Community.
- To actively seek input from youth on important matters.
- To provide leadership experience for youth.

The Town of Pelham MYAC Present....
Rink at the Brink Outdoor Skate Trip
Thursday February 16th 2012
Kick off the long weekend with a bus trip to "Rink at the Brink" with Pelham MYAC.
Trip includes bus ride and 1 hour of skate time for $12 per person.
Please pre-register at the Town of Pelham Town Hall.

W hat Do We Do?
Accomplishments of the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council include:
- Formed a Council of 16 members, created a constitution and by-laws.
- Participate in annual Canada Day and Santa Clause parades.
- Publish bi-weekly article in the Voice of Pelham newspaper.
- Participate in Spring and Fall Community Participation Days by cleaning up Pelham MYAC's Adopt-A-Road Pelham Town Square and Peace Park.
- Hold annual Pumpkin Carving Contest and Halloween Skate
- Presented the Children's Charter of Rights to the Mayor and Council
- Held a 'Youth Rivalry Competition' at the Boys' and Girls' Club of Niagara.
- Help with the annual "Amazing Race" event held during Pelham's Canada Day Celebration.
- Participated in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Annual Regional Youth Symposium.
- Held Dinner & A Movie Night for area youth in August 2006.
- Held Christmas Gift Wrapping event for the community - All proceeds went to Pelham Cares
- Participate in United Way events including Christmas Wrapping at Seaway Mall.
- Created, distributed and correlated a survey for area teens asking their input on the need for recreational activities for Pelham Youth. The results were present to the Mayor and Council.
- Volunteer throughout the community and assist with public special events.
- Participated in the Welland Recreational Canal Corporation's Youth Forum in February 2007.
- A.P.M Fest celebrating youth Art and Music in Pelham - June 2009, June 2010, July 2011.
- Held Pelham's first ever Outdoor Movie Night August 2011.
