ROAD CLOSURE – SHORTHILL PLACE

Please be advised of the following road closure:

WHERE: Shorthill Place between Pelham Street and Station Street

WHY: Allow for installation of new storm sewers as part of the Pelham Street North Road Reconstruction works. 

WHEN: Thursday, October 10, 2019 until further notice

TIME: 7:00am – 5:00pm

Access will be granted to emergency services and to those travelling to and from properties within the closure zone.

Temporary Road Closure

Where: Pelham Street between Shorthill Place and Overholt

Why: Tree removal at 1724 Pelham Street. 

When: Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 7:00 a.m. to estimated 4:00 p.m.

The above schedule is weather dependent. 

Please use an alternate route. 

Notice for Church Street Sanitary Replacement Project: Surface Course Paving 

Where: Church Street in Fenwick will have reduced access between Canboro Road and Foss Road.

WHY: For the purpose of surface course paving.

When: Friday, June 21, 2024 to Monday, June 24, 2024. Weather may impact the scheduling. 

Alternate: Residents along Church Street will have access to driveways intermittently during the project. Additional notice will be provided to impacted residents by the contractor completing the...

Where: Quaker Road at Line Avenue/Clare Avenue and Clare Avenue at the border of  Welland and Pelham.

When: June 11 - July 16, 2024

Why: Road Closure Due to Construction. The City of Welland and Beam Excavating are connecting servicing at the border of  Welland and Pelham. Niagara Region and Peter’s Excavating are also completing work at the intersection of Clare Avenue/Line Avenue and Quaker Road as part of the Quaker Road Sanitary Project.

Why: 1039 Church Street servicing and base coat asphalt installation.

When: 

• Monday, June 17, 2024 from 7:30 a.m. to estimated 6:00 p.m. 
• Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 7:30 a.m. to estimated 1:00 p.m.
