Pelham, ON – A $5,000 grant from the Niagara Community Foundation to the Town of Pelham may very well turn out to be priceless.
Funding SAY IT! On Stage, the grant affords teens and elders the opportunity to strengthen connections and enter into creative collaboration. The project runs for eight months, starting with its launch on Friday, June 14, at the seniors open house hosted at the Meridian Community Centre.

Pelham, ON – The Meridian Community Centre (MCC), already a designated Seniors Active Living Centre, will soon offer a dedicated space for those 55+ in the form of an Active Living Lounge.

Aerial Spray program for gypsy moth begins May 31

Pelham, ON – An aerial spray program combatting infestations of gypsy moth caterpillars begins at approximately 5:30 a.m. on May 31, 2019, spraying a total of 118 acres comprised of public and private property.
The spray program uses a biological insecticide called Foray 48B, its active ingredient being a naturally occurring soil bacteria called Bacillus thuringiensis v.kurstaki, or Btk, which only affects spring caterpillars feeding in the upper canopy of hardwoods.
