Pelham, ON – The Town of Pelham is pleased to invite residents to the second workshop on the Pelham Arena Lands Planning Study.
The workshop will begin with a presentation summarizing the results of the evaluation of the five concepts generated, which include input from the June co-design workshop. Residents had an opportunity to review the five concepts through an online survey, and rate the various options. A section for additional comments was also included.

Town Takes Precautionary Approach Regarding Solar Eclipse
The Town of Pelham is taking a precautionary approach toward the solar eclipse that will be experienced throughout North America on August 21st, 2017.
Solar eclipses are not safe to look at without the appropriate eye protection, and looking at an eclipse can result in permanent eye damage from the infrared and ultraviolet radiation emitted from the sun.

Mosquitoes in Pelham test positive for West Nile Virus

Niagara Region Public Health is informing residents that Niagara has received its first confirmation of West Nile Virus in mosquitoes. To date, in the Niagara region no human cases have been reported to Public Health. While the mosquitoes that tested positive were found in St. Catharines and Pelham, all Niagara residents should take the necessary precautions to prevent West Nile Virus. Pelham, ON – Pelham residents are being asked to engage in part two of the Pelham Arena lands Community Co-Design.
The two-day workshop component of the consultation occurred in late June, and now, having compiled the information and input from residents, the Town is ready to engage in the next phase of the process.
