Public Meeting for Official Plan & Zoning Bylaw Amendment

The Town has initiated amendments to the Official Plan and Zoning By-law to include policies and regulations with respect to short term accommodations within the Town. A Licensing By-law is also proposed. These policy and regulatory amendments will work together to better manage short term accommodations and address adverse impacts in the Town.

WHY: Sewer Lateral Installation, The City of Welland has a contractor installing a new sewer lateral at 81 Sumbler Road in Welland. This work requires trenching across the roadway in front of the above address which will require a complete road closure.

ROAD REHABILITATION PROGRAM: Maple Street, Pancake Lane & Welland Road

Please be advised of the following road rehabilitation locations:
WHERE: Maple Street, Pancake Lane & Welland Road
WHY: Resurface the roads as part of the road rehabilitation program.
WHEN: Crews will be on-site starting August 19, 2019 – starting at Maple Street and Pancake Lane.
TIME: 7:00am – 5:00pm
One lane of traffic will be maintained on Maple Street and Pancake Lane during these works. A separate notice will be issued once Welland Road is scheduled to begin.
