Station Street sanitary sewer works

Work begins tomorrow to complete necessary sanitary sewer works at Station Street and Summersides Boulevard to divert flows down Summersides.

Work is expected to take approximately one week. Station Street will be reduced down to one lane during this time, and Summersides Boulevard will be closed between Station Street and Lametti Drive. Understanding that Pelham Street is currently closed between Port Robinson Road and College Street for reconstruction, the detour is on Station Street.

Cases of COVID-19 have continued to rise in Niagara, including a daily record of 63 cases in one day earlier this week. Provincially, we are likewise seeing record numbers of daily cases. In Niagara, since the start of October, we have lost at least 13 more of our fellow residents to death from COVID-19.

As the Town of Pelham’s public works department prepares for the upcoming winter season, there are things residents should expect and keep in mind when the snow starts falling.

Please note that the Town of Pelham administrative offices are closed Wednesday, November 11, for Remembrance Day. The Meridian Community Centre is open . Regular administrative functions resume Thursday, November 12.

This year’s Remembrance Day ceremony will be held on November 11, 2020, at the Royal Canadian Legion on Highway 20, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Most years, ceremonies are held in Fenwick, Ridgeville, and at Town Hall, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, those events have been canceled.
