Don’t Wait, Check the Date – Pelham Fire Prevention Week 2016

Pelham Fire Services will hold a number of community events and initiatives for Fire Prevention Week 2016 to help keep residents and businesses fire safe.

“The theme of Fire Prevention Week this year is Don’t Wait, Check the Date of your smoke alarms,” said Pelham Fire Chief, Bob Lymburner. “Smoke alarms don’t last forever and we want everyone to stay safe by checking the expiry date of their smoke alarms.”

Smoke alarms wear out over time and need to be replaced within the time frame indicated...

Pelham Community Centre Site Plan Approved

On Monday, September 19, 2016, Pelham Council unanimously approved the Pelham Community Centre site plan to facilitate construction.

On Monday, September 19, 2016, Pelham Council unanimously approved designating 1732 Cream Street (also known as The Comfort House) under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act for its cultural heritage value.

On Saturday, September 10, 2016, Town Council and honoured dignitaries helped unveil and rededicate Pelham’s WWI Cenotaph and newly restored WWI Trench Mortar. (Watch the video.)
