Mural in Marlene Stewart Streit Park honours its namesake

Pelham, ON –  Marlene Stewart Streit Park has another attraction to offer the community. Art students from E.L Crossley Secondary School recently completed a mural that pays tribute to the Park’s namesake who is one of the most recognized female golfers in the history of the game.  

Marlene Stewart Streit, the inspiration for the mural compilation, was taught to play golf, at Lookout Point Country Club in Pelham. She began competitive play in 1949. ...

You no longer need an appointment to get your first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at Niagara Health’s vaccination clinic at the Seymour-Hannah arena. Now, anyone 12 years of age and older can come to the clinic at any time for their first dose.

Effective immediately, we are offering this walk-in option to make it as easy and quick as possible for people who haven’t been protected against COVID-19 to get their vaccine.

Motorists and the general public are hereby advised that Regional Road 29 (Webber Rd.) from east of RR 529 (Effingham St.) to west of RR 36 (South Pelham Rd.) in the Town of Pelham will be closed to through traffic, weather permitting.

The road closure is necessary to remove and replace a twin culvert that crosses RR 29 (Webber Rd.).

Pelham Street Phase 2 construction underway; expect delays with traffic down to one lane

Construction on Pelham Street between Port Robinson Road and John Street, as part of the Pelham Street Phase 2 construction project, is underway. 

The reconstruction of Pelham Street include the installation of of new storm sewer and watermain, new sidewalks, and widening of the road platform. One lane of traffic will remain open during the course of the construction, and lengthy delays may occur. Alternate routes are recommended.
