Pelham Summer Chill Series earns top 100 Festivals of Ontario award

Pelham, ON – The Town of Pelham has, for the third year, received a Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) Top 100 award recognizing the long-running Pelham Summer Chill Series, which combines live music from the Fonthill Bandshell committee, the Pelham farmers' market and the Thursday night supper market into a vibrant community event in Peace Park every Thursday each summer.

On Wednesday, February 26, during FEO's Annual Conference "SYNERGY," hosted in Kitchener, Ontario, the award was accepted on behalf of the municipality by staff from the Recreation, Culture and Wellness department. The 2025 FEO Top 100 Awards are presented to festivals and events across Ontario that excel within the industry and are selected by an independent panel of judges. Winners of the awards reflect the best of the best in industry practices, the hard work and the commitment of those who make the festivals and events industry in Ontario a success. 

“The Pelham Summer Chill series is a welcoming community event that showcases great talent, farm fresh produce and local flavours that have become a Thursday night tradition for so many,” said Director of Recreation Culture and Wellness Vickie vanRavenswaay.  “It is wonderful to connect with the community who comes out to enjoy the event each week. This award reflects the dedicated efforts of volunteers and businesses that work tirelessly alongside town staff to continue to bring award-winning events to Pelham.”

Festivals & Events Ontario was established in 1987 as an association devoted to the growth and stability of Ontario's festival and event industry. FEO operates Canada's largest dedicated festival and event Conference and oversees an industry-leading awards recognition program.  

The Town of Pelham has received previous recognition from FEO, including five achievement awards, two Top 100 Festivals in Ontario awards for Pelham Summer Chill and seven Top 100 Festivals awards for Pelham Summerfest.
