Temporary Road Closure Notice
Where: Quaker Road at Line Avenue/Clare Avenue
When: Monday, August 26, 2024 with an estimated completion date of Wednesday, October 9, 2024
Why: Continuation of the the installation of the sanitary trunk for the Quaker Road Reconstruction Project.
This work will require the full closure of the intersection of Clare Ave/Line Ave at Quaker Rd. During this time, through traffic or emergency access outside of working hours will not be accommodated.
The Steve Bauer Trail will be closed at Quaker Road and require crossing onto the west sidewalk of Line Ave by following the detour signage posted.
The following detour routes are available:
Quaker Rd Residents (Between Rice Rd and Kaywood Court) – No Exit past Montgomery Rd (Summerlea Access at Line Ave will remain open and Montgomery Entrance)
Quaker Rd Residents (Between Pelham St and Line Ave) – No Exit east of Pelham St
- Proposed Detour to access West of Line along Quaker Rd: North: Pelham St – Port Robinson – Rice Rd – Quaker Rd
- South: Pelham St – Woodlawn – Rice Rd – Quaker Rd
Clare Ave Residents - No Exit North of Heritage Lane
- Proposed Detour: Woodlawn Rd – Pelham St – Bacon Ln or Port Robinson
Line Ave Residents – No Exit South of Bacon Ln
- Proposed Detour: Bacon Ln – Pelham St – Woodlawn Rd
Nouvel Horizon School – Both Entrances of the School remain open, Access only from the East along Quaker Road at Rice Rd
