Health screening at Pelham Municipal buildings

When Town facilities began to reopen, one of the health and safety measures put in place was to screen visitors at the door, asking them to answer a series of health-related questions designed by Niagara Public Health.

With the Meridian Community Centre open to the public for registered programs and Town Hall open by appointment only, these health screening questions are critically important in maintaining staff and the public's health and safety.

Fall street sweeping begins Monday, October 5, 2020.

Residents are asked to be mindful of when they park on the street and avoid doing so when available.

Street sweeping is essential seasonal maintenance, and public safety is a primary concern. This maintenance removes debris from the gutters and roadsides that would otherwise end up going to the storm drains, causing water pollution, affecting fish or wildlife.

 Public skating returns to the MCC on Oct. 4

On Sunday, October 4, public skaters at the Meridian Community Centre (MCC) can take the ice for the first time since the Centre initially closed down during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sunday skaters can enjoy ice time  from 1-2:20 p.m. 

Public skating on Fridays begin on October 9.
