Pelham Ward One voters looking to cast their ballot before Election Day on September 15, 2020, can do so at the second advance poll on Saturday, September 12, from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Polls are located at Fire Station #2 (766 Welland Road Fenwick) and Fire Station #3 (2355 Cream Street North Pelham). To ease the number of people at the polls, it is suggested that residents with odd house numbers cast their ballot at the second advance poll. Winner announced in the first community garden bed competition

Four teams maintained garden beds in the community this summer, and one, 3rd Fonthill Scouting, was named the winner of the community garden bed competition.
"The winner of our competition won by one point over the talented Pelham Garden Club," said Pelham Beautification Committee Chair and judge Jen Pilzecker. "The win is attributed to the use of colourful mums which are often perennial in Niagara's growing zone and the nice combination of annuals with consideration of plant layering and movement."

Recreation programming on the horizon
In a verbal update, CAO David Cribbs informed Council that programming at the Meridian Community Centre (MCC) would be ramping up by the end of the month. Programs including shinny, public skating, ladies learn to play hockey, pickleball, and Brock's fitness class are likely to resume by the end of September, while seniors learn to skate, fitness, and chair yoga, are on their way for October.

Pelham, ON – CUPE Local 1287 and the Town of Pelham are pleased to announce that they have negotiated and ratified their first-ever Collective Agreement. The negotiations took place between June and August 2020.
