Pelham Arena Lands Co-Design Workshop Part II

Pelham, ON – The Town of Pelham is pleased to invite residents to the second workshop on the Pelham Arena Lands Planning Study.

The workshop will begin with a presentation summarizing the results of the evaluation of the five concepts generated, which include input from the June co-design workshop. Residents had an opportunity to review the five concepts through an online survey, and rate the various options. A section for additional comments was also included.

Another season at the Pelham Pool comes to a close

Another swim season at the Pelham pool comes to a close on September 1.

Here’s a quick recap on the swim season that was(*).

  • Over 700 individuals and 83 families enjoyed the facility, despite a cooler and wetter season than last year. Public swims were offered weekdays 6-8 p.m. and on weekends 1-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
  • Sunday’s in July commemorated Canada’s 150th, offering the chance to splash, play, and cool down for only $1.50.

Last week, Councillor Papp, Town CAO Ottaway, Treasurer Quinlin, and I attended the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference in Ottawa. The annual three-day conference offered a range of learning sessions and networking opportunities for the more than 1,500 delegates.

Town Takes Precautionary Approach Regarding Solar Eclipse

The Town of Pelham is taking a precautionary approach toward the solar eclipse that will be experienced throughout North America on August 21st, 2017. 

Solar eclipses are not safe to look at without the appropriate eye protection, and looking at an eclipse can result in permanent eye damage from the infrared and ultraviolet radiation emitted from the sun.
