Town of Pelham extends burn permits from 2019

Pelham, ON – The Town of Pelham Fire Department is extending 2019 burn permits into the 2020 season as part of measures to mitigate disruptions in the community during COVID-19 (Coronavirus). 

As warm weather approaches and residents practice social distancing and self-isolation, the Town recognizes the desire for residents to get out and enjoy the fresh air in a responsible manner. Even in your backyards, social distancing is still encouraged.

Town of Pelham offers relief for tax and water/wastewater payments

March 25, 2020

Pelham, ON –Town of Pelham Council voted Monday, March 23, 2020, to initiate a temporary change to the interest and penalty charged on taxes and water/wastewater accounts. This decision was made as an effort to mitigate impact on residents affected during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.

The Town is waiving penalty and interest charged on April 1 ,2020 for tax and water/wastewater balances outstanding on March 31, 2020, at which time further assessment...

Niagara confirms three new cases of COVID-19

​Niagara Region Public Health and Emergency Services is investigating three new confirmed cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing Niagara’s total to seven cases. All cases are travel-related. All three cases had a different date of onset of illness. 
  • Case #5 is a female in her twenties with a travel history to the United States.
  • Case #6 is a male in his forties with a travel history to the Unites States.
  • Case #7 is a male in his sixties with a travel history...

Watermain Flushing Notice - spring 2020

Town of Pelham water operations staff continue to ensure the supply of safe drinking water throughout the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. We are prioritizing maintenance activities directly related to water quality which includes watermain flushing and water sampling.

As per the Town of Pelham’s Drinking Water Quality Management System spring Watermain Flushing Program began as of March 23, 2020 and will run through April.
