As part of a communications strategy employed by the Region of Niagara and local municipalities, residents of Pelham may receive a second recorded phone message from Mayor Marvin Junkin, this time reminding them of the current state of emergency and encouraging them to stay home to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community.

Pelham, ON – The Town of Pelham is asking residents to submit questions via email or traditional post mail regarding this year’s aerial spray program for gypsy moth.

Drive-through service now available at St. Catharines COVID-19 Assessment Centre

To increase safety, efficiency and screen more patients, the COVID-19 Assessment Centre at Niagara Health’s St. Catharines Site is offering a drive-through service for those referred.

Beginning today (April 6), people eligible for the drive-through service will be notified when their appointment is booked, and will be guided to the drive-through area when they arrive in their vehicle.

The Ontario government has announced that the 2020 Assessment Update has been postponed. They have indicated that property assessments for the 2021 property tax year will continue to be based on the fully phased-in January 1, 2016 current values. This means your property assessment for the 2021 property tax year will be the same as the 2020 tax year, unless there have been changes to your property.

Pelham not included in fire ban

The Town of Pelham is not included in the Ontario Fire Restriction zone, or have we implemented a fire ban. The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources & Forestry (MNRF) places fire restrictions between April 1 & October 31 every year. This years restrictions include a full fire ban in those zones.
