Enbridge Gas Inc. helps Pelham FD Reduce Fire and Carbon Monoxide Deaths through Project Zero

PELHAM, ON, October 21, 2019 – Today, Enbridge Gas Inc. and Pelham Fire Department announced they are working to improve home safety and bring fire and carbon monoxide-related deaths down to zero. 

Pelham Fire Department received 126 combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarms through Project Zero – a public education campaign that will provide more than 9,100 alarms to residents in 40 municipalities across Ontario.

Fall Branch Collection Oct. 28 - Nov. 22, 2019

​Fall branch collection starts next week on Oct. 28 and continues until Nov. 22. Curbside branch collection is available across Niagara region to all residents living in single family homes and apartments with six units or less.

When setting out branches for collection, it is important to remember: 

  • Branches must be tied in bundles
  • Maximum weight of bundle = 22.7 kg (50 lbs.)
  • Maximum size of bundle = 1.5 m (5 ft.) in length and 0.5 m (1.6 ft.) in diameter

Niagara Regional Council approves every-other-week garbage collection to start in fall 2020

Niagara Regional Council approved every-other-week garbage collection scenario effective fall 2020 at a Special Council Meeting on Oct. 17, 2019. The change will apply to garbage collection for all low-density residential properties (single home and properties with one to six units) and for those industrial, commercial and institutional and mixed-use properties located outside Designated Business Areas.
