Changes to fees at Regional landfill sites effective April 1

Niagara Regional Council approved a revised fee structure on Jan. 21, 2021, which better reflects the true cost of the Region’s waste management services. The following changes to the fee rates at Niagara Region Waste Management sites will take effect April 1, 2021.

Garbage, construction and demolition material

The fee for garbage, construction and demolition materials weighing 51 kg or more will increase to $117 a tonne (from the current $115).

It was a fully booked and bustling first day as Niagara Region Public Health kicked off vaccination clinics at MacBain Community Centre.
