Preparation for COVID-19 Immunizations for Residents 80+

Niagara Region Public Health is busy preparing for the launch of our COVID-19 mass immunization clinics in the coming weeks.   Last week the 11 clinic locations were announced, and Public Health continues to work with these community partners to be ready once vaccine supply is available. The clinics will open and operate on a rotating basis, and will increase in frequency over the next few weeks as Public Health staff and volunteers work to get vaccines into the arms of Niagara’s 80+ residents...

Flags to fly at half mast in recognition of one-year anniversary of first COVID-19 case in Niagara

The Town of Pelham will join other Niagara municipalities in lowering flags at Town facilities to half-mast from March 12-14 to honour and remember those who have died of COVID-19 over the past year. 

Lowering the flags during this time coincides with the one-year marking of the first COVID-19 case in Niagara as well as the closing of Town Hall on March 13, 2020.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 300 Niagara lives been lost to COVID.

Pelham receives nearly $350K in latest round of provincial COVID recovery funding

Pelham, ON – The province of Ontario announced on March 4, 2021, that the Town of Pelham would receive $347,890 as part of the province’s 2021 COVID-19 Recovery Funding for Municipalities program.

Overall, the province is investing $500 million in the program the help municipalities offset the unprecedented operating cost pressures due to the ongoing pandemic.

Pop-up patios back on the menu in 2021
