A result of today's mixed bag of weather, reports of silppery sidewalks and walkways having been coming in.

The Town salts sidewalks for the treatment of ice, however, please keep in mind that it does take longer to complete due to the carrying capacity on the equipment. Rest assured, crews will be working to make your walks as safe as possible.

Haist street arena public information sessions: recap and next steps

On Monday, February 11, 2019, the Town of Pelham hosted two public information session on the Haist Street arena lands.

The sessions - designed to provide a recap and update of the process undertaken by the Town to develop a preferred development plan for the land and financial update – welcome roughly 150 residents over the course of the afternoon (1-3 p.m.) and evening (6-8 p.m.) sessions.

Statement from Environment Canada

Precipitation will begin as snow overnight. Snow will change briefly to ice pellets, with 4 to 8 cm accumulation, before changing to freezing rain. Freezing rain will continue for several hours before changing to rain Tuesday afternoon. Travel is likely to be affected.

Additionally, strong easterly winds gusting up to 70 km/h are expected Tuesday.

This freezing rain is associated with a Colorado low that will cross Southern Ontario Tuesday and Wednesday.

Pelham, ON – Free family fun is scheduled for Pelham’s Family Day activities, Monday, February 18, at the Meridian Community Centre.

The community centre & walking track will operate special holiday hours, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Family Day, with free activities beginning at 11 a.m.
