John Nemy Trail entrance closed at MSSP

Please be advised that entrance to the John Nemy Trail at Marlene Stewart Streit Park is closed until further notice due to a large tree coming down. Entrance to the trail from Elm Avenue is still open. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Media are invited to join members of Pelham Town Council, Rotary Club on Fonthill, and the Pelham Library for recognition of Rotary’s contributions to the Meridian Community Centre.  

The recognition will take place Friday, August 17, at 11 a.m. at the Rotary Reading Room house near the north entrance of the community centre.

Pelham mosquitoes test positive for West Nile Virus

​Niagara Region Public Health has received its first report of West Nile Virus (WNV) in mosquitoes in 2018. To date, Niagara has no human cases of WNV.

While the mosquitoes that tested positive were found in Pelham, all Niagara residents should take the necessary precautions to prevent WNV. To reduce the risk of being bitten by mosquitoes and potentially exposed to WNV, residents are reminded to:
