Pelham, ON– A much-needed, much-anticipated health and medical centre in Pelham is one step closer to reality.

The Town has signed an agreement to sell nearly two acres of land in East Fonthill to a team led by Christina Dobsi of Dobsi Medical and David Kompson, a long-time developer in the Niagara Region, and working with Greg Chew of Collier’s International.

Catch basin cleaning in Pelham begins

Catch basin cleaning is set to begin in Pelham Tuesday, May 22, 2018 and will be completed by approximately Friday, May 25, 2018.

When: May 22 - 25. 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Heavy rains may cause some delays.

What: Vacuum Trucks will clean out all Town catch basins located throughout Fonthill and Fenwick. Please expect some delay while trucks are in the area.

Why: Regular catch basin cleaning is a preventative strategy to reduce the chances of storm flooding in the event of a heavy rainfall....

Pelham water systems to be flushed in spring, summer

Water flowing out of hydrants will be a common scene over the next few months as the Town of Pelham flushes drinking water systems in Fenwick and Fonthill.

The systems will be flushed this spring and into the summer during weekday business hours. The water entering the mains after treatment is of a very high quality. Over time sediment builds up in the pipes, particularly with slow moving water. Water quality is the highest priority in delivering water to our consumers.

Ombudsman, Minister clear Pelham; Council focuses on future

Pelham, ON– Pelham Town Council is pleased with the ruling by the Ombudsman of Ontario and a letter from the Minister of Municipal Affairs that close the loop on outstanding allegations of wrongdoing.  

The Ombudsman ruled that the Town of Pelham correctly held an in camera  meeting on September 5, 2017 and the Minister stated that no provincial audit would be conducted, instead inviting the Region and local area municipalities to develop stronger working...

Spring Branch Collection May 7 - June 1, 2018

​Spring branch collection starts next week on May 7 and continues until June 1.  Curbside branch collection is available across the region to all residents living in single-family homes and apartments with six units or less.

When setting out branches for collection, it is important to remember:

Branches must be tied in bundles

Maximum weight of bundle = 22.7 kg (50 lbs.)

Maximum size of bundle = 1.5 m (5 ft.) in length and 0.5 m (1.6 ft.) in diameter
