The Town of Pelham 2023 Final Property Tax bill was mailed out on June 8, 2023. Residents that have not received their final tax bill by June 19 2023, are encouraged to contact the Pelham Tax Department via email at taxes@pelham.ca or by phone at 905-980-6678.
Residents are reminded to retain their final tax bill from the June mailing, for 2023 income tax purposes.
Town of Pelham property tax bills have a breakdown of applicable increases on the back of the bills which highlight the levies for Provincial Education, the Region of Niagara, the Town of Pelham, the Regional Transit and the Regional Waste Management.
Prior to January 1, 2023 the transit costs were included in the Niagara Regional Levy and the Town Levy. However, beginning in the second half of 2023 the levy will show separately on the tax bill as the Transit Levy. The Transit Levy will support the local transit services across the Region that were amalgamated to create Niagara Region Transit on January 1, 2023. The newly formed Niagara Region Transit provides improved connectivity among the communities of the Niagara Region.
Residents are encouraged to review the insert included in the mailing that details frequently asked questions regarding taxes in Pelham. Additional information on payment options can also be found at www.pelham.ca/taxes

Enrolment in the Pre-authorized payment plan is the best way to ensure on-time payments. Residents can take advantage of the various interest-free, pre-authorized payment options. Pre-authorized payment plans are recalculated twice annually to reflect changes in assessed value and tax rate. A void cheque or pre-authorized debit (PAD) form is required, and accounts must be paid up to date to be eligible to enrol.
Property owners can also avoid penalty charges by ensuring all payments are received by 4:30 p.m. on the due date. Payments made directly through financial institutions must be made in advance of the due date to allow for bank processing time.
