Track your Activity

How to track?
Tracking is simple and can be done however works best for you!

Enter minutes direction on the ParticipACTION website!

Track your minutes on a paper calendar and call in to report their activity weekly! All tracked minutes must be submitted prior to 5:00PM on June 30th to be counted.

What to track?

The challenge is open to all organizations, schools, sport groups and workplaces to participate and track  minutes as a team. All group physical activity counts. Track group exercise classes, practices, events or even lunchtime walks starting June 1.

Every minute tracked goes toward your community’s score and adds to the Pelham June 30 for 30 challenge!
What are move minutes?

Move minutes are the time during which an individual engages in either active or light physical activity.  An individual’s valid move minutes will count towards the June 30 for 30 Challenge.

Move minutes can accumulate individually or through community events, groups or associations. Any group physical activity can be tracked by the organization. By way of example, ongoing recreation activities such as a group fitness class at a recreation centre, an outdoor hike, a school gym class or an individual challenge to participants such as biking throughout the month of June are all eligible for tracking.

 What activity counts?

The goal of the Community Better Challenge and Pelham's own June 30 for 30 is to get the community moving with others from across Canada!

As a result, we haven’t set parameters on how intense your activity needs to be. From walking to the grocery store to backyard spring cleaning, we want you to track it all!

In terms of duration, every minute counts! The shortest duration of activity you can track is one minute, while the longest is 180 minutes.
We would like to participate as a school/group? How do we join in?

That is great! Come join in the June 30 for 30 Challenge!

You can register your organization or group directly on the ParticipACTION website, your totals will be added to the June 30 for 30 Challenge with the Town of Pelham based on the postal code entered.

Please call 905-732-7886 or rcwstudent@pelham.ca with any questions!

About the Community Better Challenge

 Let's Community Better, together!

The ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge is a national physical activity initiative that encourages Canadians to get active in search of Canada's Most Active Community. Pelham is getting moving with the June 30 for 30 Challenge!

It is open to everyone and all minutes tracked on the website from June 1 – 30 count toward a community’s total score. After June 30, 50 finalist communities will be invited to submit an application explaining why they deserve to be Canada's Most Active Community.

At the conclusion of the challenge, one community will earn the top prize of $100,000 and title of being Canada’s Most Active Community. In addition to the national winner, there will also be prizing for the most active community in each province and territory. Now, more than ever, physical activity and sport participation need to be prioritized to help Canadians stay healthy in mind, body, and community spirit.

Pelham is in it to WIN it with Pelham's June 30 for 30 event!
