Pelham, ON – The Pelham Family Day Adventure returns to the Meridian Community Centre this year with a new lineup of activities for families to enjoy in celebration of Family Day.
On Monday, February 19, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., residents can participate in free events at the Meridian Community Centre in Pelham. Activities include drop-in family gym time with bouncy castles, laser tag sponsored by MYAC, face painting, balloon creations and skating. In addition, community sports organizations, service clubs and not-for-profit organizations will be on site for the annual community expo.
"Family Day has become such a fun day for Pelham families and seeing the Meridian Community Centre full of kids and their parents enjoying time together is always exciting. The activities and community expo are a great way to connect with available activities in Town," said Town of Pelham Director of Recreation Culture and Wellness Vickie vanRavenswaay.
Returning to the event lineup this year is Niagara-based magician Scoop McCoy, who will perform interactive magic shows at noon and 2:00 p.m. The magic shows are geared for all ages, and those attending are in for a family-friendly, hilarious, and high-energy show. Also returning are two different family skates, with the 11:00 a.m. time sponsored by the Rotary Club of Fonthill, which will be accepting non-perishable food items. Additional action will be on the ice for families to enjoy as the Pelham Panthers Junior B hockey players take on the Hamilton Kilty B's at 1:30 p.m. with free admission provided by Tim Hortons.
