Pelham, ON – The Pelham Family Day Adventure returns to the Meridian Community Centre with a host of activities. A full day of free family fun is set for families to enjoy, along with the return of the GooseChase scavenger hunt available all weekend.
"The Meridian Community Centre is opening the doors and welcoming families to enjoy activities together. From family skates to face painting, the day full of events will keep families engaged and entertained," said Town of Pelham Active Living Programmer Brittany MacLeod. "Families can choose the activities at the Meridian Community Centre or join all weekend long with fun challenges on GooseChase. Both options provide families fun ways to spend time together."
On Monday, February 20, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., residents can participate in free family events hosted at the Meridian Community Centre in Pelham. Activities include drop-in family gym time, laser tag, Mad Science®, photo booth, sports with ParaSport Ontario, balloon creations and two family skates. In addition, community sports organizations, service clubs and not-for-profit organizations will be on site for the annual community expo. Non-perishable food donations will be accepted at the expo.
On Friday, February 17, at 8:00 a.m., the virtual Family Day Adventure Scavenger Hunt starts with support from Niagara Economic Development. The virtual game is played on the GooseChase app, available as a free download from the Apple Store or Google Play. To participate, residents log in to GooseChase and search game code VWVRJE. A total of 22 family-inspired missions will be released during the game, and participants can submit video, photo or text answers to climb the virtual leaderboard. All participants who complete at least one of the missions will be entered for a chance to win a Pelham Prize Pack, including Pelham Bucks.
